Safe Start

Safe start (Funded by BBC Children in Need) is a project that provides fun play sessions for children with the aim of trying new things, reducing risk-taking behavior and supporting the challenges within families. It also builds on links with local agencies including Safety net, Sussex Police and the Early Intervention Group.

Sessions are aimed at children and young people of primary school age (7-11). They are run on a Monday and Thursday afternoon between 3 PM and 5 PM and are run and delivered by an experienced team of workers and volunteers. Activities include everything from Dance, Cooking, Sport, Indoor games, Arts & Crafts and much more.

“I really enjoy supporting my son and the other children in all the activities at The Crew Club” – Jess 28, Parent Volunteer
